Bunaken is located in North Sulawesi, it is ocean national park comprises the islands of Bunaken, Manado Tua, Mantehage, Siladen, Nain some part of Arakan Wowontulap, coveragethe total area 89,065 ha. The areas was represent of some of tropical ecosystem of sea that comprises of mangroves, sea weeds, coral reefs and coastal ecosystem in Indonesia. In the terestrial areas rich with the palms trees such as sago (Metroxylon sago), coconut (Cocos nucifera) and some other excotic palm species. On the sea coast the are some species of mammals such as kera hitam Sulawesi (Macaca nigra nigra), rusa (Cervus timorensis russa), dan kuskus (Ailurops ursinus ursinus) used the area for feeding and breeding ground. This national park is located in West Java, about 100 km south part of Jakarta. This area was very important for the area below includes, Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, Cianjur and Sukabumi as a cathment area. This park is located near by the peak of Mount Gede and Pangrango. The biodiversity found in this area is still high and very excelent manage by National Parks. Every visitors who want to visit to this area must be got a letter of permission to enter the area. Officially this division is under the Departement of Oceanic and Fisheries, Republic of Indonesia. It is located in Jatiluhur, Purwakarta at elevation about 200 m asl. In this area largest manmade dam in Indonesia was built in 1960's on the stream of Citarum river. Some research was conducted for several years to gathering data and information about lakes, dam and other wet land area in Indonesia. The data comprises of biological, physical adn chemical characteristics of every water bodies and the potentialities of the water bodies for fisheries cultures. This Division is located in Lembang, Bandung at elevation above 1000 m asl in the slope of Tangkuban Parahu Montain, West Java. The area is suitable for agriculture purpuses because of the fertile soils, good drainage. People works as a farmer and use the lands nearby their village for vegetable production and other agriculture commodities. As a research institute of vegetable in Indonesia, the institute manages genetic resources of indigeous or local vegetable. There are manage germplasm collection that collected from any part of Indonesia. The germplasm was conserved in the seeds storage and some other in the fields as a living collection. This institute is located in the slope of Lawu mountain, Tawangmangu, Karanganyar, Central Java at elaevation about 1000 m asl. and called also as a medicinal garden. The garden manages medicinal plants living collection and simplisia that collected from any part of Indonesia as native plants and also some others collection native to other countries. Researchs was conducted in this institute especially on cultivation technique and phytopharmacological study to dig out the potentialities of bioactives component of indigenous medicinal plant species. This is the oldest scientific garden in Indonesia that develop as a centre of plant knowledge since 19 century by Duct Colonial Government. From this garden some of research institute was created in Indonesia suh as agriculture, forestry, oceans and fisheries. This garden manage living plant collection that some was introduced to Indonesia as a importance plant commodity in this year such as oil palm, rubber, coffea, cacao, quinine etc. To day's this garden manage more than 13,000 living plant in about 84 ha area in the centre of Bogor as a ex situ conservation collection. Herabarium as a garden references is also well manage in special building in side this garden and called as Herbarium Hortus Botanicus Bogoriense. More than 9305 specimen, comprises of 32,890 sheets and about 149 familes was manage as a references of the garden collection. Some other is used as a taxon or vouchers specimen references for taxonomy and ecological studies. This garden located in East Java at elevation about 300 m asl, with speciallisation collection of dry humid, lowland areas. The garden manage plant (trees, shurb, herbs, ephyphytes, aquatics plant) as an ex-situ conservation living collection. Closed to 10,000 specimen of plant cultivated in this garden. Special collection in this garden is a Yam (Dioscorea), Banana (Musa), Medicinal Plants and magoes (Mangifera). Some collection of orchids is also intersted to be exposed to become of ornamental plants. This garden also manage the herbarium collection under the named of Herbarium Hortus Botanicus Purwodadiensis (PHBP). This Garden is manage plant living collection which needs special requirement such as: tropical plant which needs environment in high level elevation (> 800 m asl) with dry hunidity. This garden is located in Bali at the elevation of above 1000 m asl. More than 10,000 plant was cultivated in the garden as a ex-situ conservation collection. The important collection is Begonias, native collection of orchids, and some species from Eastern Part of Indonesia. Beside that this garden also manage herbarium as a references collection used for pant taxonomy and ecological study in this area. This is the largest museum collection in South East Asia. The collection is use as scientific references of fauna in this area. More than 2 million collection was maintain in the sophisticated collection rooms under the Division Of Zoology, Research Centre for Biology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences. The collections is divided base on the taxa such as birds, mammals, insects, reptiles, amphibian, crustacean, fishes and other specimen that classified as endoparasites and ectoparasite include worms, mites, etc. Tissue and DNA culture was also started to be manage in their collection as part of the main activities of this division.
